Lawton Public Schools

In May, the Lawton Transition Program (LTP) competed at the Oklahoma Special Olympics Summer Games hosted at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. 

During the event, the athletes from LTP competed in the softball throw, the 50-meter walk, 50-meter run, the 100-meter walk, and the standing long jump. In total, 10 medals were won along with a handful of other top-10 finishers. 

Below is a list of the competitors from the LTP and how they finished:

Jayln Brewton; Gyven Clowser  –  Gold; Carolina Colby  –  4^th Place; Josiah Edgmon; Dakota Flores  –  4^th Place and Silver; Logan Giradot  –  Silver and Gold; Taira Love  –  Silver and Gold; Ivy Murray  –  Golf and Ribbon; Damien Smith  –  6^th Place; Dashaun Spencer  –  4^th Place; Shaqutia Swearengin  –  Gold and Bronze; Paul Teague  – Gold
